Kubota calls a complete mechanical injector an ASSY HOLDER, NOZZLE, so this is the whole injector, not a nozzle tip alone. It is for the Kubota V2607-DI-T, the turbocharged 2.6 liter four-cylinder direct-injection diesel that is fed by a mechanical in-line injection pump, and Kubota’s parts list for that engine shows four per engine. Bobcat sells the same injector as 7020613 for its machines built with this engine. It is Kubota’s replacement for the earlier holder 1J700-53000, with one condition: on engines built with the old holder it goes on together with new overflow pipe joint bolts.

Worn injectors on these engines show up as hard starting, a rough idle, a miss, white or black smoke, fuel knock or fuel in the oil. Check the fuel filter, look for air in the supply side and rule out the injection pump before you condemn the injectors. The engine takes four, so test all four before you replace one.

Set the new injector next to the old one before you fit it, and compare the body, the overflow pipe connection and any dust seal on the holder. Kubota’s parts list shows two O-rings and a packing with each nozzle holder as separate parts, so fit new ones. Engines built with the older 1J700-53000 holder used an eye bolt on the overflow pipe at each injector. The new holder takes joint bolt 1C020-95810 there, and Kubota says to order holder and bolt as a set. Kubota’s service data for the mechanical V2607 gives 9.81 to 11.2 N-m (7.24 to 8.26 lb-ft) for the overflow pipe joint screws and 22.5 to 36.2 N-m (16.6 to 26.6 lb-ft) for the injection pipe retaining nuts. Bleed the fuel system before cranking.
