This is the S&S Diesel Motorsport CP4 to DCR pump conversion kit, part number 6.7F-DCR-1. It removes the factory Bosch CP4.2 high-pressure pump on the Ford 6.7L Power Stroke and installs a new S&S two-piston DCR pump, with new pump-to-rail high-pressure lines, a new low-pressure supply and return line assembly, an engine adapter plate and mounting hardware. S&S lists it for 2011 to 2026 Ford trucks with the 6.7L Power Stroke, from the F-250 Super Duty up to the F-650 and F-750 trucks that use this engine.

Owners and fleets fit it to get away from the CP4.2, which can fail and send metal through the whole high-pressure system. The DCR pump displaces 1,250 mm3 per revolution, about 25% more than the CP4.2, and S&S states it needs no ECU calibration or tuning. The kit carries CARB EO D-756-7 and SEMA certificate SC-SDM01-0034. If the CP4 has already failed and shed metal, this kit does not clean the system: the rails, lines, injectors and tank still need to be inspected and cleaned or replaced.

Follow the S&S instructions step by step. The pump must be timed: roll the engine until the single mark on the camshaft gear is at 12 o’clock, set the DCR roll pin at 12 o’clock, and refit the OEM pump gear with its double marks straddling the cam gear mark (S&S says either Ford gear width works). The OEM pump gear, rail-to-rail crossover line, fuel sensors and metal line bracket are reused. On 2011 to 2016 trucks, fit a new vacuum pump gasket (S&S lists Ford BC3Z-2A572-A, Mahle B32630 or S&S 6.7F-VAC-GASKET). S&S recommends new engine and chassis fuel filters. Before the first start, prime the system by cycling the key on for 30 seconds and off, five times, then check every fitting for leaks. Ford fan tools 205-036 and 303-214 (or a 47 mm fan wrench) are needed, plus a 5/16 in fuel line disconnect tool on 2017 and newer trucks.
