This is a genuine Kubota nozzle holder kit, part number 16454-53905. The same injector is also sold in a Denso box as Denso 093500-5060. It is the complete injector, not just a tip: the holder body, nozzle piece, spring and internal parts come assembled. It fits Kubota V2203 and V2403 four-cylinder diesels. Kubota lists it for many L-series tractors, the M4700 to M5700 and MX4700 and MX5000 tractors, KX121, KX161 and U45 excavators and R510 and R520 wheel loaders (full list below). It replaces 16454-53000, 16454-53900 and 16454-53903.

A worn injector on these engines shows up as hard starting, white or black smoke, a rough idle, lost power under load or a knock on one cylinder. Rule out glow plugs and fuel supply first. If a nozzle dribbles or the spray breaks up, replace the injector. On high-hour engines most shops replace all four so every cylinder sprays the same.

The copper gasket and heat seal under each injector are separate Kubota parts (on the L3940, for example, 15841-53622 and 19077-53650). Replace both every time an injector comes out. Clean the seat in the head, torque the injector to the Kubota spec for your engine, and bleed the fuel system before cranking.
