This is the Garrett 854572-5001S, a new turbocharger, not a rebuild. It is the stock variable geometry turbo for 2011 to 2016 Ford Super Duty cab and chassis trucks, the narrow frame F-350, F-450 and F-550, with the 6.7L Power Stroke. It replaces Ford BC3Z-6K682-B and crosses to Ford’s remanufactured number G2MZ-6K682-BRM. It does not fit pickups.
Work trucks put long hours and heavy loads on this turbo. It is replaced for shaft play, oil in the charge pipes, sticking vanes, noise under boost and low boost codes. Find the cause first: check the oil feed and drain, the intake for debris and the charge air cooler for oil and metal. Installation gaskets are not in the box.

The cab and chassis turbo and the pickup turbo are different parts and do not interchange. This one is for 2011 to 2016 cab and chassis trucks. Pickups from 2011 to 2014 take Garrett 851824-5001S, and 2017 to 2019 cab and chassis trucks take Garrett 888142. F-350 and F-450 owners: both came as a pickup and as a cab and chassis, so check your old turbo tag. This turbo replaces tags that start with 854572 or 795657. Send us your VIN and that number. Order the installation gasket kit separately. Change the engine oil and filter, check the oil feed and drain for restriction, and clean the charge air cooler and pipes of oil and debris from the old turbo. Prime the turbo with clean oil before first start.
