This is the Alliant Power DT10R0782, a HEUI fuel injector remanufactured by Alliant Power in its DTech line for the Caterpillar 3126B. It takes the place of the Cat remanufactured injector 10R-0782 and of Cat 177-4754, 205-1285. A refundable core applies, so your old injector comes back to us.

The 3126B used several injectors that look alike, and this is only one of them. The others in this family are Cat 0R-9350, 0R-9348, 0R-9349, 10R-1262. Order by the Cat part number on your old injector or by engine serial number, not by engine model alone. HEUI injectors are fired by engine oil pressure, so low or dirty oil and a weak high-pressure oil pump cause the same hard start, miss and low power complaints as a worn injector. Rule those out before you replace a set. The engine takes six injectors.

HEUI injectors are fired by engine oil pressure. Change the engine oil and oil filter when you fit them, fit new seals, and keep dirt out of the injector bores and the oil rail. Check high-pressure oil system pressure if the original complaint returns.
