2004-2017 International DT466, DT570 & MaxxForce DT High-Pressure Oil Rail Seal Kit | Alliant Power AP0025 New

This is the Alliant Power AP0025, a new seal kit for the high-pressure oil rail. Alliant lists it for the 2004 to 2006 International DT466, DT570 and HT570, the 2007 to 2014 MaxxForce DT, 9 and 10, and the 2015 to 2017 N9 and N10. It replaces International 1842626C95.

The oil rail has to come off to change a G2.9 injector on these engines. Alliant’s catalog says so on every one of its G2.9 injectors, and says to use this kit when the rail goes back on. The kit is not in the box with the injector.

Alliant’s picture of the kit shows seven O-rings and eighteen backup rings, in three sets of six. Its instruction sheet has you measure the groove in each injector oil inlet tube and pick the backup ring to suit, then fit new O-rings on the inlet tubes and a new oil inlet O-ring in the cylinder head.

From Alliant’s instruction sheet: check that the oil inlet tubes move freely and replace any inlet adaptor that is stuck or leaking, coat the new seals and backup rings with clean engine oil, and seat the rail on the head by hand, never with the bolts. Fit the 12 rail bolts hand tight, then torque them to 27 N·m (20 lb·ft) in the order the sheet gives.
