Kubota V1505-E4B Diesel Engine | New Complete Engine (Tier 4 Final)

This is a new, genuine Kubota V1505-E4B: the 1.5 liter, four-cylinder industrial diesel from Kubota’s 05 Series, rated 24.8 HP at 2300 rpm. It is Kubota’s current Tier 4 Final production version of the V1505, and it meets EPA/CARB Tier 4 and EU Stage V with a simple mechanical injection system and no DPF, no DEF, and no regen cycles. It is supplied as a complete new engine through the authorized Kubota Engine America dealer network, with a 2-year/2,000-hour Kubota warranty on standard KEA spec builds.

Application & Fitment

The V1505-E4B is Kubota’s current new-engine offering for the V1505 family, superseding the earlier E3B generation in the same roles. The V1505 family is factory power for turf, refrigeration, access, and compressed-air equipment, including:

  • Toro Reelmaster 5410 and 5510 fairway mowers, with the turbocharged V1505-T-E3B in the Reelmaster 5610. Check the five-digit Toro model number on the serial plate first: on this family a “-D” suffix (5410-D, 5510-D, 5610-D) means a Yanmar engine rather than a Kubota, and the “-G” models are gasoline WG1605.
  • Jacobsen LF550 fairway mowers built on the V1505-CR-TE5 (turbocharged common rail, DCU/DCV/DCW/DCY product codes only). Most other LF550 units use the Kubota D1803 or V2403 instead, so confirm the product code before ordering.
  • Carrier Transicold refrigeration units running Carrier’s CT4-91 TV engine, which is this engine: the Maxima 1000, 1200, 1300 and 1300 Mt, and the Vector 1550 and 1550 City. Check the Carrier designation on the unit before ordering, because most of the Vector range does not use it: the 1800, 1850, 1950, 6500, 8500 and 8600 run the larger V2203, and the Vector 1350 runs a D1105. Carrier’s Supra range is not a V1505 either; those use smaller three-cylinder Kubotas, the D722 or D1105 depending on model and market.
  • JLG scissor lifts (generator-drive configuration)
  • Kaeser mobile air compressors
  • Triton Power TP-K15 Tier 4 Final generator sets (V1505-E4BG1 genset spec)
  • Commonly used in Gehl and Vermeer compact equipment, plus small generators, water pumps, and light-duty construction machines

Fitment note: many of these machines originally shipped with earlier V1505 emissions generations, and Kubota builds every engine to an application-specific spec number (KEA stock builds or OEM-suffix builds). Call with your equipment make and model, or the engine model and serial number from your spec plate, and we will confirm the exact build before you order.

Cross-Reference Part Numbers

  • Kubota 1J098-00000 (V1505-E4B-KEA-1): Kubota Engine America stock spec build of this engine
  • Kubota V1505-E3B-TORO-3: prior-generation Toro OEM spec build superseded by the E4B. OEM machines carry manufacturer spec suffixes like this, so match your spec plate and we will translate it to the current build.

Engine Specifications

  • Configuration: vertical, water-cooled, 4-cycle indirect-injection (IDI) diesel with Kubota E-TVCS combustion
  • Cylinders: 4, in-line
  • Displacement: 1.498 L (91.41 cu in)
  • Bore x stroke: 78.0 mm x 78.4 mm
  • Aspiration: naturally aspirated
  • Fuel system: mechanical in-line injection pump, no electronics required
  • Rated output: 18.5 kW (24.8 HP) at 2300 rpm, SAE J1995 gross intermittent
  • Maximum torque: 92.6 Nm (68.3 lb-ft) at 1700 rpm
  • Dry weight: 110 kg (243 lb)
  • Emissions: EPA/CARB Tier 4 and EU Stage V, with no DPF and no aftertreatment
  • Warranty: 2-year/2,000-hour Kubota warranty on KEA spec builds

Kubota deliberately rates the E4B at 18.5 kW, just under the 19 kW class break, so this mechanically injected engine passes Tier 4 Final clean. The payoff is current-emissions compliance with the simplicity and field-serviceability of a classic IDI Kubota. Genset variants (V1505-E4BG1, as used in the Triton TP-K15) carry lower 1800 rpm ratings for generator duty.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will the V1505-E4B fit my machine that came with an older V1505?

In most cases yes, with the right spec build. Kubota designed the E4B generation as the transition path from the E3B, and it is the current new-engine replacement for V1505-powered equipment. E4B output is 24.8 HP at 2300 rpm, while some earlier V1505 ratings ran higher at 3000 rpm, so we always confirm the correct spec against your machine and engine serial number before quoting.

Is this a genuine Kubota engine or an aftermarket rebuild?

It is a brand-new, complete, genuine Kubota engine supplied through the authorized Kubota Engine America dealer channel, not a used takeout or an aftermarket copy. Standard KEA spec builds carry Kubota’s 2-year/2,000-hour warranty, and every engine we sell is backed by our own diesel shop for setup and support.
